Raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico by Sicilian-born parents, I grew up fascinated by language, translation, and expressions of culture. The granddaughter of a poet, I approach text as play.
My academic background in history and law has informed my artistic practice, inviting explorations of speech in flux, collective memory, and the relationship between individuality and universality/community.
My work as an artist seeks to uncover possibility, to honor the boldness of sincerity, and to create space for wonder, discovery, and common ground.
